SETHRA-CASA
Description
SETHRA-CASA serves the youth of Bledsoe, Grundy, Marion and Sequatchie counties. The goal of SETHRA-CASA is to make sure that the abuse and neglect these children originally suffered does not return in their future. As trained advocates, SETHRA-CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be the voice for these children in court. As a result, a child is placed in placed into a safe and loving home, where he/she can thrive. It is the vision of SETHRA-CASA to provide a voice for each and every abused and neglected child who needs one.

Mission
The SETHRA-CASA program uses responsible, trained and caring volunteers to effectively promote the best interest of abused, neglected or dependent children and provides greater assurance that their needs for safe, loving and permanent homes will be met with dignity and respect.
Volunteer
SETHRA-CASA advocates are specially trained community volunteers appointed by Juvenile Court Judges to speak in the best interest of the children who are brought before the court for reasons of abuse and neglect. SETHRA-CASA is an official part of the judicial system proceedings, working alongside attorneys, social workers and other professionals. By only accepting only one or two cases at a time the advocate has time to thoroughly explore the history of each assigned case.
